James P. Lenox

 

Mr. Lenox is an accomplished executive with over 20 years experience in fortune 500 corporate environments within the telecommunications and heavy industrial manufacturing industries. He has demonstrated the leadership, analytic, communication and negotiation skills required to accomplish corporate change and renewal in many different situations.

Mr. Lenox applies his expertise to help clients:

  • Create an "Enterprise View" of the organization in terms of its key business processes and provide the leadership to undertake structured process improvement initiatives to create greater organizational value.

  • Integrate the "Voice of the Customer" into business processes to provide improved levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Implement corporate change through cost analysis/reduction and operational assessments designed to improve profitability, cash flow, and entity value.

Prior to joining The Landhouse Group, LLC, Mr. Lenox worked in the telecommunications industry for the last 16 years in both the Local Exchange business as well as the Wireless industry. He has a broad general management background with extensive experience in internal consulting positions driving corporate change through financial and quality improvement initiatives. He has held management positions in Financial Management, Corporate Services/National Contract Management, Corporate Real Estate/Site Development, and Quality Improvement departments in several national telecommunications companies. He has also helped lead the transition/integration activities during several mergers/spin offs within the Telecom industry.

Mr. Lenox earned a B.A. in accounting from Illinois State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois. Mr. Lenox also holds a M.B.A. from The University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business with concentrations in business policy and quality management. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Turnaround Management Association.

 

 

Gary A. Plaster

Gary A. Plaster, Managing Director– Strategy Consulting is an accomplished author and consultant with over two decades of experience advising “C” level executives. He is a nationally recognized thought leader in the area of growth strategy and managing growth. Mr. Plaster is the co-author of two books, THE ROAD TO SUCCESS: How to Manage Growth and BEYOND SIX SIGMA: Profitable Growth through Customer Value Creation (both published by John Wiley & Sons).

 

Before joining The Landhouse Group, he led the Strategy Alignment practice at Capital H Group.

 

Mr. Plaster was formerly a Partner with Grant Thornton LLP, a public accounting and management consulting firm. He served the firm in a variety of roles including as the National Managing Partner of the Enterprise Strategies practice and as the firm's Chief Strategy Officer.

 

Mr. Plaster’s clients have ranged from middle-market companies to the Global 1000. His clients have included: Lockheed Martin, USG, SAP, Honeywell, Exxon Mobil, Federal Signal, RR Donnelley, Ventas, NCR, Medtronic, IBM, Kellogg’s, Eli Lilly, Michael Foods, Liberty Diversified Industries, Michigan State University, Seminole Nation, and Alliant Techsystems.

 

Mr. Plaster is a Clinical Professor at DePaul University’s Center for Strategy, Execution and Valuation.  He earned a

BS - Industrial Engineering and an MBA - Finance from the University of Wisconsin.

                                   

 

 

David Hopkins

 

David K. Hopkins, Managing Director– Carlson Brand Enterprise/Marketing Faculty Carlson School of Management.  Mr. Hopkins is an accomplished business leader with over 20 years of experience and proven expertise in the development and application of corporate strategy, brand management, revenue enhancement, and operations improvement.  Possessing a broad industry background, including consumer products, retail, manufacturing, high-tech, aerospace and defense, and transportation industries, he has worked with both emerging growth companies and Fortune 500 corporations.

 

Prior to joining Carlson School of Management, Mr. Hopkins was the managing director for U.S. operations at MRM Partners, a global marketing services firm.  For six years, Mr. Hopkins was a practice leader of enterprise strategy and operations for Grant Thornton LLP, where he assisted companies in achieving balance between top-line growth and competitiveness. He also has successfully co-founded several companies, including the revolutionary healthcare company Minute Clinic, and has served on the boards of commercial and non-profit entities.

 

Mr. Hopkins holds AbD/Masters degrees in strategy / industrial organization from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado. Mr. Hopkins has had several articles published and is sought after as an industry/subject matter expert for regional and national print and broadcast media.

 

 

Dr. Mark Frigo

 

Mark L. Frigo, PhD, CPA, CMA is Director of The Center for Strategy, Execution, and Valuation in the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University.  Author of six books and over 70 articles, his work is published in leading business journals including Harvard Business Review.  Mark is a recognized thought leader in strategy and execution in high-performance organizations.   He is co-developer of the Return Driven Strategy and Mission Driven Strategy frameworks which are used by management teams, entrepreneurs and boards of directors to make the connection between a company’s business plans and value creation.  Mark is co-author of Driven: Business Strategy, Human Actions and the Creation of Wealth.  Dr. Frigo is of counsel to The Landhouse Group.

 

  

 

 

Dr. Ajay Chandhok

 

Ajay Chandhok, PhD, Director – Strategy Consulting, is valued as a professional advisor to C-level management in diverse start-up and mature businesses regarding vision, state-of-the-art governance, management, restructuring and technology transfer to take products, services and technology to the next level.  Throughout his consulting career, Dr. Chandhok has focused on delivering in-depth strategic expertise, profitable growth, enhanced customer value, and operations management solutions to his clients.    He has deep experience in global strategy development, business planning, financial modeling, market and environmental analysis, competitive analysis, international marketing management, change management, reengineering, M&A, private equity and venture capital, outsourcing, R&D, product management, manufacturing and industrial engineering.  Dr. Chandhok has extensive knowledge of multiple industries including paper & packaging, B2B services, healthcare, biotech, pharmaceutical, chemical, manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, food, heavy machinery, automotive, insurance, financial services and technology transfer.

 

Dr. Chandhok has a PhD and MS in Chemical Engineering as well as an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.

 

 

Mark G. Bertler

 

Mark Bertler is a senior executive with proven accomplishments in general management (P&L), business analytics, international operations, manufacturing, M&A, sales and marketing.  His primary focus is on residential, commercial and industrial markets.  He has a strong background in developing, marketing and commercializing both new and existing process technologies, capital equipment and aftermarket services.  He has vast experience in developing and implementing strategic business plans both domestically and internationally. 

 

Mr. Bertler has served in a variety of executive management roles as Pentair, US Filter Corporation, BF Goodrich and Intel.  He has a BS Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

 

 

Paul Neblock

 

Paul Neblock has over 25 years of experience in management and management consulting in a number of industry sectors:

 

·         Manufacturing — tube and pipe manufacturing, engineered products, precision machined products

 

·         Distribution — warehouse operations, kitting, fulfillment

 

His specialties include:

Richard Townsend

 

Richard Townsend has 30 years of experience teaching and consulting with firms in numerous industry and service segments:

 

·         Manufacturing — components, equipment, printing, automotive (OEMs, tier 1 and below)

 

·         Distribution — warehouse operations, supply chain, purchasing

 

·         Contract Manufacturers — optical, electronic and computer components design and assemblers.

 

His specialties include:

 

·         Utilizing analysis and process improvement techniques to help clients achieve exceptional results.

 

·         Applying Lean tools with cross functional teams to improve process performance in the areas of productivity, cost, lead time, yield, and throughput.

 

·         Reducing variation in the quality of products or services provided through the practical application of proven quality improvement techniques: Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and data driven management.

 

·         Preparing firms for ISO quality systems.

 

·         Improving company’s problem solving abilities through training and coaching in team based problem solving techniques

 

·         Training and coaching executives and managers in the use of Business Operating System techniques to measure the correct aspects of their business to drive performance.

He has worked with many firms in our core business segments ranging from small privately held firms to large Fortune 500 firms.

 

Mr. Townsend is a certified Master Black Belt in Lean/Six Sigma techniques and is an adjunct professor at Wayne State University. He earned his undergraduate economics degree from Georgetown University and his MBA, with high honors, from the University of Michigan.

 

Mr. Townsend is an active member in the Association for Quality (ASQ), the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME), and the Tube and Pipe Association (TPA).

Robert Krausert

 

Mr. Krausert has experience in many industries with a focus on lean manufacturing, order fulfillment cycle time improvements, plant/facility layout changes and flow improvements that yield cash flow increases, inventory decreases and customer satisfaction increases.  He has 17 years of manufacturing experience, 10 years of retail and distribution experience, and was a partner at a leading CPA firm before working with Capital H Group.

 

Mr. Krausert has a BSB in Accounting from the University of Minnesota.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and a certified Auditor.  He is a member of the Manufacturers Alliance and the MN Tool and Die Manufacturers Association.  Mr. Krausert has had four articles published in various journals, has three books in process (a Lean Implementation and training series) and has trained over 3000 people in lean concepts including 5S, constraints management and supply chain management over the last 5 years.  He is a Jonah; having been certified in the “Thinking Process” courses in 1996 and has had articles on cost management/accounting and inventory control published in APICS and business publications.
